The varnishing of a printed product is not just for protection, it offers numerous options for optical and haptic effects. In this way, we are able to create extremely glossy or very matte varnishes. When spot varnishing, individual extremely glossy elements can be emphasised over a matte background. The separation between glossy and matt areas of a print motif is particularly elegant with the help of drip-off varnish. High-quality cosmetics can be assigned a mother-of-pearl effect (iriodin varnish).
